Interfresh Inc., Orange, Calif., has hired Michael “Jake” Jacobs as director of business development, in a new Scottsdale, Ariz., office for the company.
Most recently, he ran his own consulting company. Before that, he was director of national sales for National Produce Solutions, and he was at Amerifresh for about nine years, in roles that included vice president of supply chain.
He has more than three decades of experience in the industry, according to a news release, with roles at grower-shippers, marketers and distributors.
“Jake brings a skillset to Interfresh that we are eager to capitalize on,” Chris Puentes, Interfresh president, said in the release. “He will be keenly focused on identifying and cultivating new relationships and opportunities, and we look forward to Jake helping us to open new doors on both the grower and the customer side, and also to expand our business with our current grower and customer base.”
Jacobs’ Interfresh position focuses on expanding the grower and customer base.
He will work with all divisions in the company, according to the release.
