An eight-week photo contest around Jazz apples drew more than 500 entries and spurred more than 5,600 interactions.

The four winners of the promotion took home $3,000, a GoPro drone, a $750 gift certificate and a Yeti cooler, respectively, according to a news release.

“We were absolutely blown away by the number of submissions, not to mention the time and effort many entrants dedicated to creating their amazing photos,” Brock Nemecek, regional marketing manager of T&G North America, which owns the Jazz brand, said in the release.

“Whether contest participants are long-time or recently converted Jazz fans, we believe that initiatives like these encourage their continued passions for healthy eating and repeat purchases of Jazz apples,” Nemecek said.

The promotion took place during the New Zealand import season and was supported by Vancouver, British Columbia-based The Oppenheimer Group. The fruit sold out in record time this summer, David Nelley, vice president of categories for Oppy, said in the release.
