Ian LeMay is the new president of the California Fresh Fruit Association, Fresno.
He succeeds George Radanovich, who had the position since 2016.
Radanovich has taken a Washington, D.C., position to “promote sound ag labor policy,” according to a CFFA news release.
LeMay, the CFFA’s director for member relations and communications since 2015, begins his new role on June 1.
LeMay was the district director for Congressman Jim Costa (D-Fresno) from 2011-15. Before that, he was a California market specialist for Lindsay Corp. He is a recent graduate of Class 48 of the California Agricultural Leadership Program.
“Our Board and I have worked closely with Ian over the past four years,” Randy Giumarra, chairman of the CFFA board of directors, said in the release. “We are confident in his abilities and look forward to his leadership.
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank George for his time, leadership and impact that he has made over the last three years,” Giumarra said in the release. “George’s service is greatly appreciated by our entire membership."
