Love Beets, Bala Cynwyd, Pa., created a “Love Your Heart-BEET” promotion for February, National Heart Health Month.
The brand has partnered with Kroger stores nationwide to perform in-store demonstrations and distribute samples and recipes certified as heart-healthy by the American Heart Association, according to a news release.
“We’re so excited because having these recipes certified by the American Heart Association only adds to the integrity of our campaign,” Natasha Lichty, Love Beets brand and marketing director, said in the release.
Available on the Love Beets website as well, the recipes have no more than 10 ingredients, are simple and “not too time-consuming,” Lichty said in the release.
Recipes include a beet-citrus smoothie, a beet and feta salad, beet energy bites, cauliflower beet soup and a beet hummus crudité platter.
The company is offering giveaways, recipes and diet tips on its @lovebeets Instagram account, and partnering with registered dietitians on their social media platforms to post more heart-healthy recipes and tips related to the health benefits of beets.
