Mark your calendars for Agri-Culture’s 11th Annual Down to Earth Women Luncheon for women in agriculture in California’s Santa Cruz County and the Pajaro Valley in Monterey County.
The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 10, at Driscoll’s Rancho Corralitos in Watsonville, Calif., according to a news release. Tickets are $100.
The luncheon raises funds for Agri-Culture’s Focus Agriculture program, the Jimmie Cox Memorial Scholarship fund and the Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau’s educational programs, according to the release.
Featured speaker Kathryn Lukas, owner of Farmhouse Culture, will talk about “Getting Down With Live-Culture Foods,” according to the release. Meghan Clifton, recipient of the 2018 Jimmie Cox Memorial Scholarship, will also speak, as will a graduate of the Focus Agriculture Program, according to the release.
Brittany Nielsen, news anchor for KSBW Action News 8 in Salinas, Calif., will be the mistress of ceremonies, according to the release.
