The first session of Stronger Together U.S.’s responsible recruitment webinar series explores how to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stronger Together U.S. is a business-led program that provides training, resources and a network for employers, labor providers, workers and their representatives to reduce labor exploitation in the produce industry, according to the release.

The session is 2-3:15 p.m. Eastern May 7. It’s called “Covid-19 Crisis Management: Perspectives from the Departments of State and Labor and Employers.”

Panelists include Michael Dolce, visa analyst at the U.S. Department of State; Mike Rios, enforcement coordinator at the U.S. Department of Labor; Rupal Patel, California Harvesters Inc. board member; and Chalmers Carr, owner of Titan Farms.

The following sessions are May 14 (“COVID-19 Crisis Management: Leading Practices in Worker Management and Communications”) and June 4, (“Understanding H-2A Worker Risks: New Research and Resources.”)

The webinar series is free and open to anyone interested or in the U.S. produce supply chain. Registration is online.
