Just a couple weeks after being sanctioned for failing to pay a reparation award issued under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act, Maya Fresh LLC has paid the debt.

The Forest Park, Ga.-based company had failed to pay $11,380, owed to a Texas seller, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Now that Maya Fresh has paid the reparation award, it is free to operate in the produce industry after getting a PACA license, and Doris E. Martinez, the responsibly connected individual, is free to work for or be affiliated with any PACA licensee.
