Sarah Grady, the U.S. supply chain manager at McDonald’s Corp. for produce, fruit, potato and beverage categories, is the newest member of the United Fresh Produce Association’s board of directors.
California Giant Berry Farm’s Cindy Jewell, the United Fresh chairwoman, appointed Grady to the position. She succeeds Shannon Mikulskis of Chick-fil-A, who resigned due to changing travel schedules and availability to attend United Fresh meetings, according to a news release.
At McDonald’s, Grady works with fresh produce suppliers to address issues affecting the supply chain, according to the release.
She is also a member of the United Fresh Retail-Foodservice Board, and now serves as vice-chairwoman to that board.
In the release, Mikulskis said Chick-fil-A continues to strongly support United Fresh’s mission.
