Gonzales, Calif.-based organic leafy greens grower Misionero is celebrating two years since the company was purchased by Harbinger.
“We are holding onto the same values that (founder Floyd Griffin) instilled; it’s all about the people,” CEO Tom Minnich said in a news release. “The ag industry has always had an incredible amount of talent. We’re fortunate to have some of the very best of these people on our team. We continue to challenge ourselves. We learn and adapt.”
The company looks to take into account changing consumer tastes as it plans for the future, keeping sustainability and social responsibility top of mind.
“We make great products that are healthy for the consumer, that are forward-leaning in the marketplace, and we have a great team that makes the magic happen,” president Joe Merenda said in the release. “We are at the beginning of a new generation for Misionero. We look at our past and carry that culture into the future, and are building something extraordinary.”
