To capitalize on peak summer marketing opportunities, Monterey Mushrooms, Watsonville, Calif., is featuring seasonal label art with recipes for summer eating occasions on select packages.
The summer labels are on the packages of whole and sliced baby bellas, whole and sliced whites and portabella caps now through September, according to a news release.
“Fresh mushroom use peaks in the summer as the numbers of ways to cook with mushrooms increases,” marketing manager Lindsey Roberts said in the release. “People use their grills more in the summer; they make more salads.”
Family owned and operated since 1971, Monterey Mushrooms has 10 farms across North America to provide regional mushrooms year-round.
The seasonal recipes and photos are being added to the company’s website. Monterey Mushrooms will also feature the seasonal promotional materials across social media channels and in partnerships with food bloggers.
