Monterey Mushroom’s transportation division, which provides regional and national less-than-truckload shipping for fresh produce, has a new name: Premier Refrigerated Transport LLC.

The mushroom company’s trucking division has been in business 34 years, according to a news release, and has 17 terminals in 10 states and a fleet of more than 100 trucks, with a 24-hour operations center.

“We are the same company and people, but now we have a new updated name and look that reflects where we are headed,” Robert Hampton, vice president of logistics, said in the release.

The company hauls for Monterey Mushrooms and affiliates, as well as other produce shippers, retailers, wholesalers and perishable distributors, according to the release.

“We pride ourselves on operating with the highest cold-chain standards in the industry, a craft that’s been honed for more than 34 years hauling highly-sensitive and perishable cargo for our dedicated service accounts,” Hampton said in the release.
