Moxxy Marketing has announced the company has been certified as a Woman-Owned Small Business by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Founded by president and CEO Karen Nardozza in 2007, Moxxy is a full-service specialty marketing agency for companies involved with fresh fruits, vegetables, wine, cannabis and other agricultural sectors, according to a news release.

To qualify as for the Woman-Owned Small Businees designation, the company must meet SBA standards including being 51% owned by women who are U.S. citizens, and directed and operated by women daily, according to the release.

“This certification is a nice milestone for Moxxy and may create additional growth opportunities,” Nardozza said. “But I’m proud of our entire team. Our diversity empowers our collaborative environment. Everyone at Moxxy has a voice and we expect them to use it. We encourage all Moxxers to engage fully—men and women, junior- and senior-levels, and all ages and positions.”

Other women in leadership roles at Moxxy are Molly Briseño as vice president responsible for operations and managing key accounts, and Debbie Contora as account manager for Moxxy’s largest client accounts and marketing campaigns.

Moxxy is based in Salinas, Calif., with offices in Reno, Nev., and Atlanta. Moxxy serves clients throughout the U.S. and has worked with companies in Canada, Mexico and the Dominican Republic, according to the release.
