Kingsville, Ontario-based Mucci Farms’ Veggies to Go earned a Best in Class Award for New Brand — Food & Beverage at the 2018 Packaging Consortium Awards, in Bonita Springs, Fla.
The Packaging Consortium has more than 2,500 members from throughout the packaging industry, according to a release. Entries at the Feb. 27 event were judged by international experts in brand design packaging on multiple criteria.
“Veggies to Go was an exciting and challenging project that took us three years to bring to the market, so it’s very rewarding to have it received so well by retailers, consumers and now industry packaging experts,” Fernanda Albuquerque, new product development manager for Mucci, said in the release.
Veggies to Go kids snack packs of produce have also won awards at the Canadian Produce Marketing Association’s expo and the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit, according to the release.
Mucci Farms plans to show the product March 3 at the Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure in Tampa, Fla.
