With show floor sampling impossible at this year’s United Fresh LIVE! event, Nature Fresh Farms is improvising.

Nature Fresh Farms, Leamington, Ontario, is hosting a virtual tomato taste test at its United Fresh LIVE! booth at 2 p.m. Eastern June 18. With the industry event online this year, Nature Fresh Farms is “welcoming this new reality and doing their best to leverage this opportunity by making the most of this trade show,” according to a news release.

“When we heard United Fresh was going to take its show online, we were intrigued at the idea,” Ray Wowryk, director of business and development, said in the release. “‘We talked about how there are so many experiences that can’t be duplicated – but decided to challenge ourselves and figure out how to make the best of this new reality.”

The company has chosen a group of panelists who will sample the company’s Red Cherry On-the-Vine Tomatoes and share their experience with participants in the web seminar.

“The virtual sampling is a great opportunity to showcase our Red Cherry on-the Vine,” Matt Quiring, director of sales, said in the release. “Product sampling and the energetic atmosphere are some of the elements of a live show that help to create a memorable experience. We hope to bring a bit of that kind of energy to this trade show through this virtual sampling.”

The greenhouse grower will also have resources for booth visitors, including product information and a live chat platform to connect with its sale team.
