Pistachio and almond grower-processor Nichols Farms, Hanford, Calif., is expanding its marketing and sales due to increased supply and demand, and has hired two people in marketing and retail sales.
Shelbi Kautz is Nichols’ new associate marketing manager, the first marketing position for the company, according to a news release. She previously worked Australian Eggs Limited and has had positions at Oklahoma State University (in the International Agriculture program) and lamb processor Superior Farms.
Kautz reports to Tristan Simpson, the chief sales and marketing officer at the third-generation Nichols Farms.
(Kautz) is an emerging CPG marketer, with a passion for the industry,” Simpson said in the release. “She is already helping Nichols Farms take strides forward in the market today and I could not be happier to have her a part of our team.”
Alex Gomez is the company’s new national retail account manager. He most recently was at Impact Group Brokerage, representing more than 20 brands in multiple departments, including retailers WinCo, Albertson’s IM and Albertson’s corporate, according to the release.
