The Oppenheimer Group’s shipments of Ocean Spray brand blueberries are picking up as National Blueberry Month promotions begin in July.

Oppy has marketed Ocean Spray blueberries since 2017, and offers them in 6-ounce, pint and 18-ounce packs, as well as two-pound clamshells. Conventional and organic blueberries are available in the range of packs, according to a news release.

The Ocean Spray-branded berries have seen sales volume rise 72% from their 2017 debut with Oppy through the end of last season. The blueberries are grown in Washington and British Columbia.

Consumer preference tends to swing to the two-pound and other larger pack sizes during the summer, according to Jason Fung, Oppy’s vice president of categories of berries and greenhouse.

According to independent research cited by Oppy in the release, 70% of consumers that were surveyed said they were “well aware” of the Ocean Spray brand in the fresh produce section.
