Steve Roosdahl, who has been with The Oppenheimer Group for 24 years, has been promoted to vice president of operations.

Roosdahl was a developer of Oppy’s supply chain software, gaining a “deep understanding of our business, which is where I sense he picked up his aptitude for strategy and how to be on the leading edge at all levels,” executive vice president and chief operating officer Doug Grant said in a news release.

Rooshdahl started in the IT department, moving to management positions in transportation, manufacturing, quality control and operations, warehouse and inventory administration and most recently sustainability, food safety and government relations and facilities, according to the release.

He also was involved in Oppy Transport, the company’s third-party logistics service.

Roosdahl was chairman of the Produce Traceability Initiative’s implementation committee, a member of the Canadian Produce Marketing Association Council of Food Processing and Consumer Products and is a current CPMA director.
