The company’s additional products include ginger, and organic turmeric from Jamaica, according to a news release.
The company plans to showcase its expanded lines, including rainbow cherry and cocktail tomatoes-on-the-vine at the Organic Produce Summit July 10-11 in Monterey, Calif.
A & A Organic’s president, Andy Martin, said in the release that the company will debut a year-round organic lemon program from Sonora, Mexico, and organic avocados from Michoacan, Mexico.
In 2018, A & A won the Organic Innovations Showcase Award for Most Innovative Packaging at the show, for a recyclable cardboard container for 1 pound of strawberries, according to the release. The company packs strawberries, cherry tomatoes, raspberries, blackberries and sugar snap peas in the packages, according to a news release.
A & A is carrying an increased volume of — and more diverse — tomatoes in 2019.
“We’ll have more totally in units, but it’s going to be spread over more items. Last year, we had a whole bunch of the same thing,” Martin said in the release. A & A will be at booth 730.
