The latest numbers from the U.S. Department of Agriculture reveal that overall fresh fruit consumption has risen from about 101 pounds in 2006 to 117.4 pounds in 2017.

Within fresh fruit commodities, avocado consumption has risen from 3.5 pounds to 7.5 pounds in that period, a fast pace compared with other commodities. See the entire data set at the USDA website.
