Produce Marketing Association CEO Cathy Burns was the guest speaker at the Fresh Produce & Floral Council’s February membership luncheon.

Burns spoke about many issues facing fresh produce and floral industries, including online sales, lack of labor, mechanization and new marketing channels, according to an FPFC news release.

The Feb. 7 event was hosted by new FPFC chairman Alfonso Cano of Lucky, and Paul Kneeland, senior director of produce and floral for Gelson’s Markets, was the emcee.

More than 275 industry members attended, according to the release.
