The Produce Marketing Association has hired Dan Stark as chief content officer, a new position designed to enhance the value of content and education from the organization.
Stark has a background in the nonprofit sector, with experience in technology, innovation and governance, according to a news release. He has led product strategy for a software development company on an association management system. He’ll report to PMA CEO Cathy Burns, and is responsible for global strategic leadership to enhance communications for industry members, according to the release.
“His experience in digital transformation and content delivery will further enhance the value PMA provides to our members and the industry year-round,” Burns said in the release.
PMA, which sponsors Fresh Connections event around the globe, is bringing the industry to world at large, according to the release.
“He will ensure that the stories of the produce and floral industries are at the forefront of the conversations the world is having around food, floral and culture,” Burns said in the release.
