The Produce Marketing Association’s weekly Town Hall discussion focuses on gender equality and benefits to the industry.

The live web seminar begins at noon Eastern on Aug. 26. Registration is online.

Panelists will discuss challenges and victories they’ve experienced in their career and other topics include insights for increasing gender equity that can benefit business.

Panelists are:

  • Sarah Fry, founder and CEO of Frey Farms;
  • Ambar Rodriguez, senior business development representative for Oppy; and 
  • Suhanra Conradie, CEO of Summer Citrus from South Africa.

PMA is headed by a female, and many females are on PMA staff. Many, many produce industry firms have females in executive positions, as well as females at all other levels.

At what point will the female empowerment efforts be declared successful, and we can all concentrate and being successfull not as women and men, but as professionals?
