The Center for Growing Talent by PMA, Newark, Del., is accepting nominations for its first Women’s Catalyst Award, honoring a fresh produce or floral leader who has mentored women and furthered their professional development.
Women or men who are PMA members are eligible to be nominated, according to a news release, and the winner will be announced at the Women’s Fresh Perspectives Leadership Breakfast in October.
“We know that there are some amazing people out there striving to cultivate women’s potential in our industry — they mentor us, they inspire us to raise the bar, and they teach us by their excellent example,” Margi Prueitt, the center’s executive director, said when announcing the award’s creation at last year’s leadership breakfast.
“We also know that when leaders like that are recognized, they inspire others to do the same. They inspire others to also cultivate women’s potential.”
Nominations are due Aug. 10. For more information, visit the center's website.
