Results of the latest Packer poll show organic sales are expected to rise higher than the current 9.2% by 2025.

In 2018 organic sales accounted for $5.6 billion of the total $60.8 billion in produce department sales, according to United Fresh.

Results show 93.6% of voters expect organic sales to rise above 10%. The top result was split with 34% of voters predicting sales of 11-15% and 34% voting sales greater than 20%.

Yes, Organic is the juggernaut of sales growth.

Funny thing, is that it lacks a tangible value proposition. Consumers are getting anymore for the higher price The product doesn't generally taste better, have better shelf life (typically shorter!) , or look better. For all the marketing blather about how Organic promotes "sustainability" ....I don't see or hear about conventional growers collapsing because their crops won't grow!

From my perspective, the Organic thing remains a fad, albeit a long-lived one.
