Lori Taylor, founder and CEO of The Produce Moms, was a featured guest at the Wellness Your Way Festival in Denver, Colo., earlier this month.

Taylor served as a produce expert and was a panelist for the Dietitians Pick presentation on the Food as Medicine stage, according to a news release.

Allison Baker, director of nutrition for Kroger Co., wanted to use The Produce Moms as an example of an industry promoting wellness, according to the release.

“Those who attended the Wellness Your Way Festival Dietitians’ Pick will never look at the produce department or the farmers market the way they did before they heard Lori speak.” Aphrah Brokaw, director of programming and talent for the festival, said in the release. “Lori enlightened all of us about how our fruits and veggies are grown and the best ways to enjoy them.”

Taylor participated in the first Wellness Your Way Festival in October 2018. In September, she is scheduled to present at SEPC’s Southern Innovations Organics and Foodservice Expo in Nashville, Tenn.

“I love talking about produce with consumers, but I started my career in the produce industry, and that will always be the community that I consider family,” Taylor said in the release.
