Greenhouse vegetable grower-shipper Pure Hot House Foods Inc. is adding a 25-acre greenhouse near its Leamington, Ontario, headquarters.
Planting is expected to begin in early 2016 at the new facility, which is the first phase of a multi-phase expansion project, according to a news release.
The expansion is being driven by increased demand, Jamie Moracci, president of Pure Hot House, which ships under the Pure Flavor label, said in the release.
"It"s been an exciting year for our team with our new greenhouse ready for planting early next year, and some other exciting projects on the horizon."
Construction of the new greenhouse follows the introduction of a new branding effort Pure Hot House launched at this year"s Produce Marketing Association Fresh Summit show in Atlanta, Matt Mastronardi, the company"s chief marketing officer, said in the release.
"We had a very successful weekend at the PMA, and we are very excited to share our new branding initiatives."
