Randy Jacobson, sales manager at Cecilia Packing Corp., Orange Cove, Calif., is retiring from the company after 24 years.

Jacobson started his career in Des Moines, Iowa, at a Sunkist Growers district sales office, where he learned about the citrus business, according to a news release. He moved to Fullerton, Calif., in 1982 to work for Blue Goose Growers, and later worked for Superior Farming Co., Bakersfield, Calif., to sell grapes, stone fruit and vegetables from Mexico.

After that, he returned to citrus sales, working for Riverbend Farms in Sanger, Calif., and other companies before joining Cecelia Packing in the lead sales position, according to the release.

Jacobson helped developed Cecelia brands including Sky Valley Heirloom Navels and Dimples Gold Nugget mandarins and the slogan Pink is the New Orange for cara cara oranges, according to the release.

Cecelia Packing has promoted Keith Wilson to sales manager, and Jim Saavedra has joined the sales department.
