Registration is open for the U.S. Apple Association’s 2020 Crop Outlook and Marketing Conference, which will be presented online because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The association's virtual event, Aug. 20-21, will feature a roster of speakers who will present challenges and emerging trends facing the industry.

The conference webpage lists the agenda, which includes the annual crop outlook estimates from major apple states on Aug. 21.

Speakers include:

  • Jack Bobo, CEO of Futurity, on “Why We Fear the Food We Eat;
  • Mark Seetin, director of industry information for U.S. Apple Association, 2020 crop outlook;
  • Frank Swanson, senior manager of produce operations for US Foods; and
  • Darren Seifer, food and beverage industry analyst for The NDP Group, “Consumption in the Post-Outbreak Normal."
