Robinson Fresh has a new alliance with South American fruit grower Verfrut, bringing the grower’s fruit to Europe.

Verfrut grows apples, grapes, stone fruit, cherries, kiwifruit, pears, clementines and organic bananas. The company grows in Chile and Peru, according to a news release.

In the agreement, Robinson Fresh, a division of C.H. Robinson, will provide supply chain solutions through its European infrastructure, according to the release.

“We are convinced that the match between Robinson Fresh’s capabilities and market knowledge combined with our product range and technical knowledge is the perfect combination to grow together in the European market,” Ignacio Donoso, director of new business development and off-shore office at Verfrut, said in the release.

Robert Walsleben, Eurpean director for Robinson Fresh, said Verfrut is one of the largest fruit growers in Chile and Peru.

“They are also family owned, feature significant production and care about providing flavorful products to their customers,” Walsleben said in the release.
