Produce industry veteran Vince Ballesteros has founded River Fresh Farms, a new grower-shipper, in Salinas, Calif.

Ballesteros is the company’s CEO. He was previously vice president of business development at Church Brothers Farms.

River Fresh Farms provides sales, marketing, customized supply chain logistics and consolidated shipping for conventional and organic fruits and vegetables, according to a news release.

The company can be reached at http://riverfreshfarms.com/ or 831-998-7072.

It provides year-round availability on conventional and organic produce.

“We’re rethinking the supply chain in the way we do business, since each customer has unique needs,” Ballesteros said in the release. “We’re building a dedicated family of growers across the globe who are passionate about their land and their crops. We’re also providing produce buyers with direct access to these family farms.”

Supply comes from both domestic and international growers.

River Fresh offers coordinated logistics to help produce buyers consolidate orders and leverage volume shipping of less-than-truckload and full-truckload amounts to reduce costs and speed delivery, according to the release.

The company serves retail and foodservice customers.
