The Washington State Department of Agriculture has approved Best Sanitizers Inc.’s Alpet D2 Quat-Free Surface Sanitizer for use by organic food processors.

The sanitizer is effective against E. coli 0157:H7, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella typhimurium and other pathogens and is ideal for water-sensitive equipment and dry processing environments.

“This unique surface sanitizer provides processors who can’t use quat with an effective tool in the fight against cross-contamination,” Ryan Witt, vice president of sales and marketing. “Now that Alpet D2 Quat-Free Surface Sanitizer is approved under WSDA Organic Program, even more facilities will have access to a surface sanitizer that will fit their plant’s specific needs.”
