The Southeast Produce Council is asking people to join its team in the Strong4Life Superhero Sprint, which raises funds to fight childhood obesity and its associated diseases in Georgia.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is hosting its annual 5-kilometer and 1-mile fun run June 1, in Piedmont Park, Atlanta, according to a council news release.

Join the team and register online here. Use discount code “SEPC2019” to receive free registration and T-shirt.

Participants are helping Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Strong4Life movement to reach more families through school and provider training programs, community partnerships and policy change efforts, according to the release.

This is no ordinary 5K: Participants wear superhero costume to walk, jog or sprint to the finish line. There will be a costume contest after the race.

For those who aren’t up for the run but would like to help out, the council welcomes volunteers to its tent, to help hand out donated produce from SEPC members to runners.
