California-based Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella Inc. has awarded five students with $5,000 college scholarships through its College Encouragement Program.
The annual program is open to high school graduate applicants who have a parent or guardian employeed by Setton Farms, according to a news release, and are enrolled full-time in an accredited four-year university.
“We are thrilled to award scholarships to this group of deserving students,” Setton Farms COO Mia Cohen said in the release.
“We want to be sure that these students are given every chance to succeed.”
Applicants took a trip to the University of California in Los Angeles and had a tour of the campus and surrounding area with a UCLA-alumnus Setton team member, according to the release.
Setton Farms also has a paid summer internship program.
