John Shuman, president of Shuman Produce, said “giving back” is one of Shuman Produce’s core principles.
“We know that consumers, especially millennial shoppers, believe that brands should work hard to make a difference,” Shuman said.
In November and December, the company is introducing packaging that supports food bank network Feeding America.
The packaging will note Shuman Produce’s donation of nearly 10 million meals donated so far through Produce for Kids.
“One in eight children in America struggle with hunger and the holidays are an especially hard time for them,” Shuman said.
“We’re looking forward to helping those in need during the holiday season.”
