The U.S. Department of Agriculture has filed an administrative complaint against So Ono Food Products LLC, alleging the company did not pay for $1.34 million in produce.

The Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act complaint against So Ono Food Products, Honolulu, is for produce from seven sellers, shipped to the company from March 2019 to March 2019, according to a news release.

If the USDA finds the company violated PACA regulations, it will be barred from operating in the industry for three years, or two years with an approved surety bond. Company principals can be barred from being employed by or affiliated with a PACA licensee for two years, or one year with a USDA-approved surety bond.
