Worcestershire, England-based Sparc Systems launched in North America through a partnership with Sesotec during the Pack Expo in Las Vegas.

The two companies showcased Weycon, a checkweigher and metal detector system, at the expo, according to a news release.

“Sparc and Sesotec complement each other perfectly. We have grown our team, had a successful European launch at Interpack earlier this year and this new partnership will no doubt help us get to the next level as we strive to meet ambitious but achievable goals,” David Buckley, managing director for Sparc, said in the release.

Sesotec manufactures and develops inspection, separation and sorting systems for various industries including foodservice, the release said.

“The Sparc Systems machines fit perfectly well with our full range of inspection machines, and we are delighted to be supplying this unique range of checkweighers, X-ray inspection and vision inspection systems here in North America — this product range will certainly fill a gap in the market place,” Werner Fleps, president of Sesotec, said in the release.

Sparc and Sesotec will continue to work together to launch other systems, the release said.
