Stemilt launching ‘Snappiest Lil Snapper’ contest

Consumers can submit videos or stories about their hilarious kids to win cash prizes and fruit from Wenatchee, Wash.-based Stemilt Growers.

Lil Snappers is the Stemilt brand geared toward children, and the company is searching for the “Snappiest Lil Snapper,” according to its contest home page.

Entries will be accepted through March 1, and Stemilt plans to announce the winners on social media channels by March 15.

“We saw this promotion as a fun way to get the primary purchasers of Lil Snappers — parents — engaged with our brand through something they love to do on social media: share the many funny things their kids say and do,” said communications manager Brianna Shales. “We have wide distribution of Lil Snappers apples and pears and are looking to this promotion as a way to continue to build awareness of the brand.”

Over the next several weeks, several influencers will be sharing snack ideas using Lil Snappers and promoting the contest on their blogs, Shales said.

The grand prize for the promotion is a $1,000 Visa gift card, and the prizes for second, third and fourth place are $500, $250 and $100 Visa gift cards, respectively.

All entries selected — 11 in total — will receive a Lil Snappers gift pack.
