Sun World International, Bakersfield, Calif., has promoted Jason Fuller, Julie Escobar and Kris Long.
Fuller, director of domestic sales, is now vice president of domestic sales and grower relations. With more than 20 years of experience in the produce industry, he joined Sun World in April 2014 and has also worked in sales at Stevco, Castle Rock Vineyards and Tanimura & Antle.
Escobar, vice president of global sales, has been promoted to vice president of international sales and marketing. She joined Sun World in 2015, and worked in international roles at C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. and The Produce Connection before that.
Long, formerly senior director of facilities and technology, is now vice president of operations and technology. He has 15 years of experience in operations and technology, according to a news release.
“These promotions reflect our commitment to empower our people and accelerate innovation,” Merrill Dibble, Sun World CEO, said in the release. “It’s an exciting time to be at Sun World as we expand our international reach and grow our proprietary varieties.”
Gordon Robertson, executive vice president, has “decided to pursue other opportunities,” according to the release, and plans to leave his position Aug. 3.
“We are truly grateful for Gordon’s many contributions to our company over the last 10 years, and wish him the best of luck in his new venture,” Dibble said in the release.
