Sunrise Fresh Produce, Jackson, Miss., has doubled its cooler space to 66,000 square feet at its headquarters.

The expansion project helps Sunrise streamline order selection, with an emphasis on energy efficiency, according to a news release. The coolers were designed to improve workflow while maintaining product-specific temperature zones.

"This expansion is the best thing that could happen to our Sunrise customers," Chris Fuss, regional manager, said in the release. "By growing to 66,000 square feet of cooler space, we are able to bring in larger loads, which will save on transportation costs.  With this new capacity we will be able to bring on new, high-volume customers in Mississippi and Louisiana."
