Hidalgo, Texas-based Super Starr International Mexican honeydew melons are now in season and available through March.

The crop is in excellent condition, according to the company, and volumes are expected to be the same as last season.

The honeydew melons will be harvested as larges, with a majority of case quantities being 5's and 6's, with the option to purchase 8's, according to a news release.

"We're excited for another successful honeydew season, with exceptional fruit quality and the same quality standards that our buyers come to expect with the Super Starr name," said Lance Peterson, president of Super Starr International, in the release.

Super Starr's honeydew melons are grown in Tecomán, Mexico. The company has grown honeydews for nearly 60 years, and also markets papayas and watermelon to the U.S., Canada and Japan.
