Warehousing, logistics and e-commerce fulfillment company Symbia Logistics, Denver, saw massive growth in 2018, with three acquisitions.

In January, the company also plans to open an e-commerce fulfillment facility in Aurora, Colo., according to a news release.

“The broad range of services our combined operations can now provide gives us a unique edge over our competition,” Symbia CEO Megan Smith said in the release. “That means manufacturers and retailers coast to coast can rely on our extensive capabilities, whether they are a business-to-business entity or a business-to-consumer operation.”

The acquisitions are:

  • Mountain States Logistics, Denver — located on a rail line, Mountain States Logistics has access to rail-to-truck services;
  • Innovative Fulfillment Solutions, Kansas City, Mo. — The company serves customers worldwide, pioneering third-party fulfillment services to e-commerce companies; and
  • Nevada Distribution Services, Reno, Nev., — The company provides supply chain, warehousing and logistics management solutions, including import services.

 “When you consider our expanded capabilities as a result of these three transactions, add in the high-tech solutions in our Aurora facility, and combine that with our plans to continue growing through strategic acquisitions, the future for Symbia is extremely exciting,” Smith said in the release. “We have become a major 3PL player for companies looking for the broad capabilities of Amazon but with the high-touch customer service that only a family-owned business can provide.”
