Las Vegas-based Terra Exports has been ranked on the Inc. 5000 list for the second year, at No. 1,587.

This year’s list ranks the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. according to a news release. Only one in four companies make the list twice.

Terra Exports previously ranked No. 923 in 2017, according to the release, but ranked the highest among competitors in the international fruit trade and No. 12 in top Nevada businesses.

“In late 2017, after our first Inc. 5000 appearance, we began to implement a new framework of operations for the company,” Nils Goldschmidt, CEO of Terra Exports, said in the release. “We built an accountability system and redesigned our global internal communications strategy across teams, which resulted in doubling our revenue year-over-year.”

Terra Exports has expanded to new markets, adding an African office in late 2018, a Tropicals division in January, and a South American expansion in the spring.

“At this point, Terra Exports is driven mostly by the energy and ambition of our team,” Goldschmidt said in the release. “Our team is passionate about continuing fast and sustainable growth, and our ultimate goal is to become one of the top-10 produce companies in the industry.”
