Calgary, Alberta-based Thomas Fresh is raising funds for breast cancer research with sales of its “Think Pink” labeled onions.
During October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and into November, Thomas Fresh’s 2-pound and 3-pound ‘Think Pink’ medium yellow onions are available in pink packaging, according to a news release.
Proceeds from each onion bag sold will support funding for breast cancer research through the Canadian Cancer Society, according to the release.
“As a company who is in the industry of providing fruits and vegetables, we feel it is our duty to give back, and to use our brand as a vessel for important health-related causes” Roy Hinchey, CEO of Thomas Fresh, said in the release.
