As part of transportation company Total Quality Logistics’s Hauls for Heroes charitable efforts during Military Appreciation Month, the company is giving the public a chance to send thank-you cards to soldiers overseas.
Through May 31, people can visit www.tql.com/heroes and choose one of four custom-designed greeting cards to send to deployed troops, including their own personal message or a pre-written one, according to a news release from the Cincinnati-based company.
TQL will print and mail the cards, according to the release.
“These men and women put their own lives at risk every day to protect our families and our freedom,” president Kerry Byrne said in the release.
“While we are proud to continue our financial support of military causes, we wanted to expand the impact with a simple option to personally say thank you to the brave men and women actively serving in our nation’s military forces.”
This year is the 10th anniversary of TQL’s Hauls for Heroes fundraiser, in which it donates to military charities for every load of freight arranged May 14-20, according to the release.
This year’s charities are Disabled American Veterans and United Service Organizations, which TQL has donated to in previous years, according to the release. The program has raised more than $154,900 since it started.
Other commemorations during Military Appreciation Month include a gift to all TQL employees who are military members; a tribute wall and a stars-and-stripes light display on the company’s headquarters in Cincinnati, according to the release.
