Total Quality Logistics, Cincinnati, is pledging to donate $1 million worth of transportation costs to move charitable loads through 2025.

TQL is ramping up its Moves That Matter giving campaign to help even more people by covering costs to haul water, food, medical supplies and other potentially life-saving goods to food banks, nonprofits and communities in need around the country, according to a news release from the logistics company.
The company has been inspired by the need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Seeing firsthand the significant needs and understanding just what an important role TQL could play, we decided to push further with this commitment to $1 million in charitable loads over the next five years,” President Kerry Byrne said in the release.

Moves That Matter has covered more than $100,000 in transport costs since March because of needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The TQL program also transported 100,000 toys to be distributed at hospitals, community centers and other locations in 23 cities for the First Responders Children’s Foundation. The foundation supports programs at police and fire departments and provide financial support to children who have lost a parent in the line of duty, according to the release.

“Through Moves That Matter, we’re able to help our customers support nonprofits that are serving those most in need by ensuring that these items make it into the right hands,” Byrne said in the release. “There is always a need for this kind of outreach, but in the face of this pandemic, the need is critical.”
