Cincinnati, Ohio-based freight brokerage firm Total Quality Logistics and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital are joining together for the second year to sponsor a holiday greeting card campaign for sick kids at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
The campaign, active until Dec. 6, allows anyone to go online to give.cincinnatichildrens.org/tql and pick from one of six specially designed holiday greeting cards, according to a news release. The cards are printed and delivered to the children by hospital staff. Last December, the release said more than 1,015 cards were distributed.
“Spending the holidays in the hospital is rough on children and families,” James Saporito, senior vice president of development at Cincinnati Children’s, said in the release. “Thoughtful gestures like these cards spread cheer and moments of joy. We are so grateful to TQL, and our caring community of supporters, for remembering our patients this holiday season.”
This year’s card designs, according to the release, feature images of adorable animals, silly dog puns and other holiday greetings.
The TQL Foundation is a partner of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, last year pledging $1 million to help the hospital’s Proton Therapy Center bring state-of-the-art cancer treatments to the region, according to the release. In October, TQL’s annual Cancer Awareness Month fund-raiser generated $100,000 for cancer research, according to the release.
