Ultimation Industries LLC has been named one of the 2019 Metro Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.

Ultimation has been in the conveyor technology and automation industry for 30 years, according to a news release.

The award is given by the Michigan Business and Professional Association to companies who are making better business, creating richer lives and building a stronger community, according to the release.

Entries are evaluated by independent research firms based on categories such as employee engagement, compensation and benefits, work-life balance, and diversity and inclusion, according to the release.

“We’re proud of the innovative, hard-working team that makes Ultimation a great place to work at and do business with,” Carol Barker, human resources manager of Ultimation Industries LLC, said in the release. “This award recognizes their commitment and contribution to driving Ultimation’s growth in the dynamic conveyor systems industry.”

The company recently developed customized material handling solutions for the vertical farming industry and offers an annual $1,500 scholarship to students who submit innovative ideas for material handling systems, according to the release.

“These companies have created impressive organizational value and business results through their policies and best practices in human resource management,” Jennifer Kluge, president and CEO of Best and Brightest Programs, said in the release.
