The United Fresh Produce Industry Leadership Program is accepting applications for its 25th class.

Applications for the 12-15 spots in the class are due March 29, and those chosen will be named at the United Fresh Produce Association's 2019 Convention & Expo June 10-12 in Chicago.

“With immersion into many facets of the business of produce, our Produce Industry Leadership Program fellows gain a holistic experience unique to the industry,” Tom Stenzel, president and CEO of United Fresh, said in a news release. “Fellows graduate with the skills they need to navigate our ever-evolving industry’s demands.”

During the program, fellows participate in four trips, focusing on face-to-face meetings, hands-on training with industry experts and educators, interactive experiences with leaders in Washington and more, according to the release. More than 250 produce industry members have participated in the program, through the support of founding sponsor Corteva Agriscience.

“The relationships the class develops through this year-long program are priceless,” Amanda Griffin, senior director of education & member programs, said in the release. “Each year, I enjoy the experience of witnessing the fellows grow professionally, and celebrating their hard work through each of our four trips.”

Applicants must be from United Fresh member companies, and have the support of the company, according to the release. Application forms are available at www.unitedfresh.org.
