Government agencies are still investigating a California e.coli outbreak.  Nearly 60 people became ill across the country after eating romaine lettuce. The focus for investigators-a possibly contaminated reservoir.  AgDay's Betsy Jibben interviewed a California grower, who is not part of the investigation, about the safety practices now in place to protect you.

I have no concern whatsoever about romaine lettuce...or any other produce. The chances of my becoming ill from produce as much less than being stuck by lightning. Much more logical to fear be mauled to death by your dog.
