Pear Bureau Northwest, Milwaukie, Ore., is bringing back its USA Pears How Do You Anjou? Instagram contest for the third year.

The contest runs May 4 through June 7 and asks Instagram users to photograph how they enjoy anjou pears, according to a news release. The contest is designed to show the variety’s versatility and raise awareness of its spring and early summer availability, according to the release.

“Late spring is the perfect time to remind consumers that anjou pears are still available at many grocery retailers. Asking people to share pictures of their pear on social media is a fun and engaging way to remind them about the versatility and nutritional benefits of anjou pears,” USA Pears marketing director Kathy Stephenson said in the release.

To enter, participants should share their photo on Instagram with the #HowDoYouAnjou hashtag and tag and follow @USAPears, according to the release. Entries will be judged on creativity and presentation, according to the release.

USA Pears plans to select a winner on June 8, who will receive a box of pears, a USA Pears backpack and other prizes, according to the release. The winning photo will also be shared on USA Pears social media.
